I like the NIV because it’s easy to read and expresses the ideas clearly. I have a NIV study bible from Zondervan that is absolutely fascinating. I love the poetry and comforting tradition of the KJV, however I find that it gets tedious translating from 17th century English after a few pages. If you like, you can view the readings in different versions by selecting from the drop down menus right above the text and then click the update button. What’s your favorite Bible version? Living Water - the theme of this weeks bible readings. Wow - just coming back from the SEPA FLY event I feel engergized and full of living water! Christ provided such a powerful statement in John --> "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.". Talk about Salvation! This passage make me think everytime I take a drink of water - the water from my fridge sustains me until the next pang of thirst, Christ sustains me forever... I have spoke to friends and neighbors about visiting our church during their "church scouting". Two families have come to the 8:30 service and were looking for something more traditional. I just mentioned in an email that I also have digital photos of the service if you need them for the future. Otherwise, great site.
